MoTab Christmas Concert!

So for my Dad's birthday, I wanted to find some MoTab Christmas Concert tickets because I know he really wanted to see it. Fortunately I was able to find some tickets (Thanks Bro Rife!), but unfortunately because of scheduling conflicts, he wasn't able to come down and see it with us...{but there's always next year right?}

But instead of putting the tickets to waste, Max and I took Greg and Becca with us to go see it and we absolutely loved it!

The Conference Center was SO beautifully lit and decorated. It was so amazing.

We got to see THE Alfie Boe sing a bunch of Christmas songs with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and we also hear him sing  "Bring Him Home" from Les Miserable. Alfie Boe is the Jean Valjean in the 25th anniversary broadway play version and he sings absolutely amazingly!

Tom Brokaw was the other special guest there. At first, I thought he'd be really boring because he was supposed to just tell a Christmas Story. {and i was like dude--reading is your talent??} But he did an awesome job with it and it was a really touching story he narrated about this Air Force pilot who shared what little candy he had with the little kids in Germany. His simple act was able to give the little kids such joy, and it really emphasized the point that not just during the christmas season but all the time, we should try to seek out little things we can do for others. It may just make a huge difference :)

 We felt so incredibly grateful we were able to see such an amazing show

There's something about the Christmas Season that is so special. It's not all the lights and decorations, but the extra effort people all around the world take to think of Christ :)

It really is the most wonderful time of the year :)
